Yoga is for everyone. We offer a variety of classes for every level and style and we specialize in meeting the needs of Baby Boomer students and their particular issues. Don't know what you like? Come visit a few classes.

NEW Sunday Restorative Class from 6:15-7:30pm.  Elizabeth Katin is your instructor and know that she has been teaching Restorative Yoga at Brevard Yoga Center for several years now and has quite a following. 

We're sincere with trying to assist students that have been away from yoga for a while.  New teacher Pam Hester will serve up her own brand of Beginning Basics Yoga on Wednesdays from 9-10:15 am.

Beginning Basics Yoga
Wednesdays 9:00-10:

Starts Wednesday June 6
If you've been away from yoga for a while, or have just never gotten around to trying it at all, this is the class for you! This gentle, slower -paced class will start your yoga journey off on the right foot. You will learn about proper alignment in all the foundational poses. Taught by Pam Hester.

Yoga Nidra Weekly Class
Wednesdays 1:15-2pm

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation, with the body supported by blankets and bolsters.  Students stay alert and awake as they witness and experience the lack of activity in the mind and body.  The practice cultivates awareness while easing students into a state of bliss.  It has been said that as little as 20 minutes of "yogic sleep" in Yoga Nidra is the equivalent of 1-2 hours of extra sleep. Yoga Nidra provides healing by releasing cell and tissue-repairing hormones.

Restorative Yoga Weekly Class
Sundays 6:15pm-7pm
Give yourself the treat of a spa-like experience with Restorative Yoga.  Poses that invite opening the body (rather than stretching) promote peace and well-being.  Restorative yoga teaches the art of non-doing, a healthy balance to our culture of "more is better".

Saturday  mornings 

Teachers Will Rotate Each Week

Class will begin with 15 minutes of quiet Yin Yoga poses, targeting bone and joint strength.  Then, expect a strengthening flow sequence that features long holds specifically designed to sculpt and build long lean muscle.  Proper alignment is key and students will be given a rich variety of cues to achieve optimal alignment for their needs.

Warrior Flow

"a fun take on a traditional power flow"

Taught by Emily Feeley
Firing the core while finding your inner warrior strength! Break a sweat and dance with your friends in this fun, hour-long class that weaves asana with self-empowerment and love! This class is sure to keep you moving and feeling stronger.

Morning Flow

Taught by Arlene Riley 
This class will start your day on the right foot! Each weekly class will feature an anatomical "theme" that will be explored in a gentle flow style.  Self-awareness, education, AND yoga bliss.....all  before noon!  Suitable for all levels.

Mindful Balance With a Chair 

Taught by Marian Soss
A solid yoga class with emphasis on balance and stability.  This class is designed with the purpose of maintaining strength and agility, along with improving mental focus. A chair is used throughout class for optimal safety and alignment awareness.

Yoga for Backcare

Taught by Marian Soss
Gentle use of yoga for back care is designed to rejuvenate the mind body and spirit.  Benefits include flexibility, structural alignment, pain reduction and mental steadiness.  The floor exercises reduce back pain and other musculoskeletal conditions.

Yin Yoga
Taught by Arlene Riley
A safer way to strengthen and support your joints and ligaments, Yin Yoga applies a static, lingering stretch to the joints (which by the way actually need stress to stay healthy). Class provides an opportunity to relax and de-stress your mind as you soften, surrender, and allow the poses to flow through you.

Kripalu Yoga
Taught by Shivani Wright
 Classes feature a standard sequence of yoga poses, utilizing breathwork, inner focus and meditation.  Kripalu yoga emphasizes  compassionate self-acceptance and utilizing what is learned in yoga class back out into daily life.

Packed to the brim with a variety of postures and gentle flowing movements to develop strength, flexibility and balance- while offering some tools to calm the mind and experience the deeper parts of who we are.

NEW CLASS For A Good Night's Rest!

Should you be lacking in the sleep department, Yoga Nidra comes to Spiritus in two formats-

a Weekly Class on Wednesdays from 1:15-2pm  and a Yoga Nidra/Restorative Monthly class which will be offered the 3rd Monday each month

from 7pm-8:15pm. Always check the Special Events to determine the date, which varies each month (usually the 3rd Monday but not always!
