Marian discovered yoga 18 years ago while living in San Francisco after the birth of her first daughter. Yoga not only strengthened and realigned her painful back but gave her a newfound peace of mind to begin her journey as a new mother.

Today, Marian encourages her students to feel better physically and mentally while also helping them discover the joy of movement.  Marian specializes in a gentle yoga style, combining breathing techniques and supported poses.  She is known for her knowledge of postural alignment.

She is a believer in the ability and importance of tapping into a higher power through spiritual meditation and pranayama (breath). Her practice encourages her to see movement and breath as true gifts.

Marian has taught the Viniyoga style of Hatha Yoga for over six years, completing the Senior Yoga Teacher Training and Advanced Studies taught by Stephanie Keach, Wendy Gilliland and Libby Hinsley at Asheville Yoga Center in 2011.  She has also studied through YogaFit and is a registered Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher (RYT 200).
